ABOUT

Manos Milonakis crafts immersive musical storytelling through piano, classical strings, toy instruments, and early electronic sounds, including the theremin. His work bridges classical crossover and melodic ambient music, shaping evocative soundscapes for theatre, film, and media.

From silent films (Thessaloniki International Film Festival, 2007) to high-fashion runways (Oscar De La Renta, New York, 2018), dance-theatre productions (Gilberto González Guerra, Mexico City, 2020), and major theatrical stages (National Theatres of Greece, South Korea, Cyprus, and Romania, 2014-2024), his compositions bring stories to life. His film and documentary scores include work for Shawna M. Tavsky’s film at the Biennale di Venezia (2021).

Constantly evolving, Manos collaborates worldwide, from Reykjavik (Sólfar EP, 2014) to Copenhagen (The Seagull, 2017), blending diverse influences into his music. His solo works, following an early breakthrough with the cinematic folk duo Your Hand in Mine, have gained recognition from Headphone Commute, BBC Radio 6, and KEXP, earning spots in top instrumental music lists.

Recent releases include theatre scores for Festen (Moderna Records, 2017), The Seagull (Piano & Coffee Records, 2020), and the upcoming Zyklon (2025)—compositions he also performs live in select venues.

Beyond music, Manos is an architect, running his own architecture and design studio.
